St. Louis – The Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 788, fighting for a fair contract with Metro, hosted a Unity Night at the union hall, 1611 S. Broadway, Saturday, Aug. 23.

MORE THAN 350 people, packed the hall. Metro’s ATU employees have not seen a pay increase since 2008 and have been without a contract since 2009. Among the sticking points are Metro’s efforts to turn its defined benefit pension plan into a 401(k) plan, or have Local 788 take over the pension program.
