The Missouri AFL-CIO sent tens of thousands of mail to Missouri voters recently educating members about the stances of the two gubernatorial candidates Attorney General Chris Koster and “right-to-work” Republican Eric Greitens.
One piece riffs off of Greitens tough talk about “taking aim” and “bringing out the big guns” by noting that “Greitens wants to target working families” by supporting the out-of-touch CEO’s pushing for so-called “right-to-work” laws that create higher workplace deaths by 54.5 percent, lower average pay by almost $5,971, and diminish spending by 31.3 percent per child.
“Greitens has chosen the side of greedy, out-of-touch CEO’s willing to make their profits off the backs of hard working people – the type of CEO’s that don’t have interest in giving workers their fair share of the profits,” said AFL-CIO President Mike Louis. “Chris Koster has made it clear that he is on the side of working people and has plans to build a better future for all Missourians.”
