PROVIDING HELP FOR UNION FAMILIES at Christmastime and year-round, guests at last month’s Union Representative Luncheon yet again demonstrated the big hearts of unions and union members by donating more than $15,000 to the newly renamed Robert J. Kelley $5 For the Fight Emergency Relief Fund for union brothers and sisters in crisis. Collecting the donations were (from left) United Way Labor Liaisons Terry Knoth, Sonja Gholston-Byrd, and Marcia Kline with proud supporter Missouri State Senator Gina Walsh (D-Bellefontaine Neighbors), president of the Missouri State Building Trades Council and a retired member of Heat & Frost Insulators Local 1. The United Way supports the Fight Fund by screening initial requests for help and providing supplemental financial help and referrals to other United Way agencies. – Labor Tribune photo
