Alton, IL – Keeping with tradition, the Alton Labor Parade stepped off into bright sunshine the morning of Saturday, Aug. 26, a week before other area parades, to open the region’s Labor Day festivities.
Hundreds of enthusiastic union members marched and thousands gathered to watch the annual parade, where union members from all the trades showed the skills, strength and solidarity of Organized Labor in the Riverbend region. – All Labor Tribune photos
