Labor Day is coming up fast, and that means it’s time to secure your union’s spot in the St. Louis Labor Council’s Labor Day parade.
The parade will be held in downtown St. Louis on Sept. 3, with the theme “Celebrating Solidarity.”
“We are encouraging total union participation and would like a show of real solidarity from St. Louis area unions!” said Labor Council President Pat White.
The parade entry fee is $250 per union and $50 for retiree groups.
Each union participating in the parade must provide a minimum of four marshals.
Unions should submit their entry forms by Friday, July 13, to be included in the lottery to determine line-up at the regular meeting of Labor Council delegates on Tuesday, July 17, at 6:30 p.m. at IBEW Local 1 on Elizabeth Ave. in St. Louis.
Maps, regulations and locations will be sent out at a later date.
Mail entry applications and entry fees, made out to St. Louis Labor Council Parade Account to 3301 Hollenberg Dr., Bridgeton, MO 63044.
