Bakers Local 4’s Michael Darragh

Michael Thomas Darragh, 69, of Granite City, a longtime member of St. Louis Bakers Local 4, died on Saturday, Jan. 30 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Brother Darragh graduated from Madison High School in 1966 and worked as a baker starting at age 18 as a member of Local 4, and worked at Wonder Bread, Van de Kamp’s Bakery and Entenmann’s Donuts.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice (Agapito) Darragh; son, Jon (Judy) Darragh of St. Louis; daughter,  Tanya (Brian) Guess of St. Louis;  stepdaughter, Winnie Rose (Gener) Santos of Las Vegas; brother, Gary Wayne Darragh of Longview, Texas; 14 grandchildren and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Charley Dawson Darragh.

A private family burial was held Feb. 4 at St. John Cemetery in Granite City.
