Garrett R. Broshuis, a complex litigation attorney with Korein Tillery’s St. Louis office, will discuss America’s pastime from the vantage point of the worker at the University of Missouri Extension’s next Labor Law Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 14, IBEW Local 1439 Hall, 2121 59th St., in St. Louis

Broshuis knows the ins and outs of baseball. He has represented dozens of former minor league baseball players in a wage-and-hour action, challenging the pay scheme for minor leaguers, and is involved in nascent efforts by minor leaguers, who have no union, to organize.

Breakfast begins at 8 a.m. at the union hall, with catering by Maggie O’Brien’s. The presentation will take place from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required.

The cost is $20 per person if annual fee of $200 per person has not been paid. The fee can be paid at the breakfast. Attendees can pay by check, with a credit card online or with pre-arranged billing. Make checks payable to St. Louis County Extension Council and mail to University of Missouri Extension, 132 E Monroe, St. Louis, MO 63122

The Labor Law Breakfast Series, held on the second Wednesday of every month, is sponsored by University of Missouri Extension St. Louis County. For more information or to register, contact Doug Swanson at swansondj@missouri.edu.
