Cement Masons Local 527 honors veteran members

ST. LOUIS – Cement Masons Local 527 honored its veteran members with service awards at its Dec. 9 union meeting.

The meeting was held at the Iron Workers Local 396 union hall at 2500 59th St. to allow for social distancing because of the pandemic.

Members were recognized at the event for 25, 30, 40 and 50 years of service. Members with 60 and 70 years of service not in attendance at the meeting were also honored.

  • 60-year members included Anthony Falcetta, Richard Gutermuth and Sam Ventimiglia.
  • 70-year members included Vernon Jaycox and the late Robert Gilsinger, who passed away on Oct. 15, 2021.
