Maryland Heights – Members of the CWA Local 6300 are standing behind their union brothers and sisters who are out of work with a $5,000 donation to the St. Louis Labor Council’s $5 for the Fight fund.

“That is a ton of money for $5 for the Fight,” Labor Council President Bob Soutier said. “This is going to go a long way to make Christmas a little brighter for our families.

“We help out of work union members,” Soutier said. “They don’t even have to belong to the Labor Council. If you’ve got a union card, we can help you.”

The Community Services Committee held several fundraisers throughout the year to collect the money, including selling tickets to a recent St. Louis Cardinal baseball game.
