
Daniel McLaughlin, who comes from a fourth-generation Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 family, has joined Hammond & Shinners Law.
McLaughlin’s father is a Local 562 member, and while attending law school, McLaughlin worked as a pre-apprentice of the union.
In his new role at Hammond & Shinners, McLaughlin will provide general counseling to health and welfare funds, as well as pension funds and various other jointly trusteed Labor-management funds.
He also will provide general consultation to Labor organizations and their members with a focus on contract negotiations, and representation of the local and its members in grievance hearings, arbitrations and litigation.
Founded in 1979, Hammond & Shinners specializes in Labor and employee benefits law and represents a large number of unions and Taft-Hartley trust funds in a wide array of industries including construction, utilities, transportation and service.
