United Way LogoThe United Way of Greater St. Louis has reset the clock on its Labor United Way Campaign activities by changing the dates for this year’s trap shoot and donation drive.

In years past, the trap shoot kicked off the annual Labor United Way Campaign donation drive. This year, the donation drive at union offices began in early June, and the trap shoot, normally held in September, has been moved to April.

“By starting our campaign drive earlier, we’re hoping to avoid the already packed Fall schedule, which includes Labor Day, elections, veto sessions and conventions,” said Roz Sherman-Voellinger, United Way vice president of labor participation.

The trap shoot and barbecue is scheduled for Friday, April 8 at Winchester Trap and Skeet Facility at 600 Powder Mill Road (Route 140 and Powder Mill Road) in East Alton. There will not be a trap shoot in September.
