Electrical Connection helps low-income homeowners

Rebuilding TogetherThe Electrical Connection, the joint labor management association of IBEW Local 1 electricians and St. Louis Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), volunteered throughout St. Louis April 27 to help low-income homeowners with home improvements. IBEW Local 1 Business Representative Dave Roth said 127 electricians volunteered their time and contractors donated 33 service trucks to install ceiling fans and light fixtures in 31 homes as part of the annual Rebuilding Together – St. Louis initiative. Mayor Francis Slay turned out to thank the electricians and contractors for donating their time and talents for the program.

Rebuilding Together – St. Louis is an affiliate of a national volunteer organization. The mission of Rebuilding Together is to bring volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled.
