The Professional Firefighters of Eastern Missouri (PFEM) IAFF Local 2665 hosted a Firefighter Memorial Dedication recently, drawing several hundred members and friends as they unveiled a bronze statue and memorial garden area honoring fallen firefighters.

The memorial dedication, just outside the union hall and sports complex in St. Peters, paid tribute to firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians and dispatchers, and to those who have lost their lives protecting the community.

Many local and state legislators were in attendance. The evening concluded with a reception and live music from the Smash Band.

Local 2665 represents firefighters in St. Louis, Jefferson, Franklin, St. Charles, St. Genevieve, Lincoln, Warren, and Crawford counties. With more than 2,000 active and retired members and still growing, Local 2665 is the largest Local in the I.A.F.F. 2nd District, which includes the states of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.
