JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri State Senator Gina Walsh (D-Bellefontaine Neighbors) visited the set of “This Week in Missouri Politics” June 23 to talk about the State Legislature’s recently ended session, but it was her eight-year-old granddaughter, Prudence Friederich, who stole the show, making waves on social media in this promotional photo with host Scott Faughn, publisher of The Missouri Times. Facebook fans responded to the post with comments including “She’s learning from the best” and “The next generation of positive leadership.” And Prudence may very well be a future leader following in her grandmother’s footsteps. Walsh, president of the Missouri State Building & Construction Trades Council and a retired member of Heat and Frost Insulators Local 1, said Prudence often accompanies her to her guest appearances throughout the state. – This Week in Missouri Politics photo
