“Zero tolerance. Three strikes and you’re out and Last chance agreements.” Are these terms accurate descriptions of workplace policies and practices or are there exceptions?

Those questions and more will be answered at the Gateway Labor and Employer Relations Association’s (LERA) panel discussion on the subject on Wednesday, April 3.

The event will be held at United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 655 Union Hall, 300 Weidman Rd., Ballwin, MO 63011. Breakfast and registration begins at 7:45 a.m., and the program runs from 8:15 to 10 a.m.

Guest speakers include Jerry Diekemper, an arbitrator with the St. Louis Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service, and Sherrie Hall, an attorney with Spector, Wolfe, McLaughlin, O’Mara & Hall, LLC.

The program is free for LERA patrons and co-sponsor members and $50 for LERA individual and non-members. RSVP by March 27 online at lera-gateway.org, by mail LERA, c/o Rudy L. Smith, 240 Millridge Dr., Moscow Mills, MO 63362 or by phone at 636-356-4320.
