Looking to do a good deed on Christmas Eve and make some sick children extremely happy?

State Rep. Bob Burns (D-Affton) (Teamsters Local 600 retired) and his wife Dianne are once again organizing a Christmas Eve trip to Children’s Hospital to wrap toys for the children who have to spend Christmas in the hospital.

The hospital’s program, Snowflake Village, provides real joy both to the children and the wrapping crew, said Burns, who has organized this effort for several years. Money raised and donated is used to replenish the Village’s toy stocks in preparation for the coming holiday.

Earlier this year Teamsters Joint Council 13 raised $12,124 for Snowflake Village, the proceeds from their first Dan McKay Memorial Bass Tournament held earlier this year, to buy this year’s toys.

If you would like to make a donation to buy Christmas toys for children confined in the hospital over the holidays, make checks payable to Snowflake Village and mail to: Bob Burns, 9057 Southview Lane, St. Louis, Mo 63123.
