IBEW Local 1 helps Overland Lions light up the fair

Overland Lions FairOverland – IBEW Local 1 and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) through their St. Louis Electrical Connection Partnership donated their time, equipment and skills to provide temporary power and lighting for the Overland Lions Club’s annual Community Fair Aug. 22-25 at Norman Myers Park in Overland installing two new 200 amp disconnects at the main service for the vendor tents. Local 1 was also a Gold level sponsor of the Fair, donating $250 toward the event, and Local 1 members individually donated $200 towards the purchase of the new lighting for the fair. Lighting up the fair were (from left) Local 1 Business Representative Dave Roth and Local 1 members Tim Backwell, Jim Stout, Russ Bayer, Mike Newton, Jack Granickie, Fritz Uhle and Mark Callahan. Schaeffer Electric supplied a bucket truck for the work. Sanderson Electric and Payne Crest electric provided service trucks. Not pictured, but volunteering their time for the event were Local 1 Business Representative Steve Muehling, Organizer/Business Representataive John Kahrhoff and Local 1 members Chris Abele, Brian Sieble, Pete Sexauer, Joe Granickie, John Sanderson, Sam Licare, Justin Veits, Quentin Crayton, Eddie Simon and John Moyle, who is also a member of the Overland Lions Club.
