IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Kyle Bowen

Laborers Local 110’s Kyle James Bowen passed away on March 17 at the age of 39.

Brother Bowen, of Wentzville, was a 16-year member of Local 110. He attended Southeast Missouri State University, enjoyed golfing, fishing and wood turning and adored being around family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Krista Bowen (nee Thomas); his daughter, Corinne Rae, his father, Jim (Vicki Layman) Bowen; his mother, Laura (Jim) Vandelicht; his brother, Erik (Emily Calvin) Bowen; his brother-in-law, Ben (Sarah) Thomas; his father-in-law, Clay Thomas; his mother-in-law, Karla Thomas; his grandmother, Elizabeth Bowen; three nieces, Ella Bowen and Mary and Constance Thomas; and two nephews, Henry and Teddy Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Bowen; his grandfather, Leonard Korte; and his grandmother, Florence Korte.

A visitation and funeral service were held privately for close family and friends at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville because of CDC guidelines limiting the number of individuals in attendance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made payable to Missouri Most College Savings Fund to benefit Brother Bowen’s daughter, Corinne Rae, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 248, Wentzville, MO 63385.
