IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Ryan Cook

Ryan Matthew Cook, a member of Laborers Local 110, died at his Fenton home Feb. 27 at age 30.

In addition to being a Laborer, he owned and operated Holiday Lighting Co. He was a graduate of De Soto High School where he played soccer. He also enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

Brother Cook is survived by his mother, Yvonne Carol (nee Jones) Mullaney, of Desoto; his father, John Cook, of Arnold; his step-father, Jim Mullaney, of St. Louis; a sister, Melissa (Ryan) Jansen, of Marshfield; two brothers, James Mullaney, of Maryville, and Tony Cook, of Indianapolis, and his grandmother Rita Mullaney, of Sappington. He took special pride in being an uncle to William Cook, Erin Cook, Callie Jansen and Ellie Jansen.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Carol and John Jones, Jr., Betty and Paul Cook, and Richard Mullaney and his great grandmother, Buena Elizabeth Jones.

A funeral service was held March 6 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home and Chapel in Desoto, followed by interment at Sandy Baptist Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Blvd., Memphis, TN 38105.
