IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Wayne Chasteen

Wayne Eldon Chasteen, a 58-year member of Laborers Local 110, passed away peacefully on March 22 at age 82.

Brother Chasteen, of Arnold, proudly served in the U.S. Navy and worked in the St. Louis construction industry until he retired on Aug. 1, 1999. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, golf and gardening.

Mr. Chasteen is survived by his daughter, Sheila Bailey-Casali; his stepchildren, Vicki Pailor, Ronald Rohr and Lisa Irwin; other surviving immediate family, Linda Harris, Philip Bailey and Virginia Bailey; his sisters, Jane Hanback, Bonnie Chasteen and Lyda Chasteen; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Ruby Chasteen and Minnie Chasteen, and his parents, Hartle and Ava Chasteen.
