IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Welton ‘Pete’ Brison

Laborers Local 110 retiree Welton “Pete” Brison, Jr., of Robertsville, MO, a 47-year member of the union, died unexpectedly on June 3, 2019, in Creve Coeur, MO.

Brother Brison, 77, is survived by his wife, Rosie Brison (nee Generally), of Robertsville; sons, Welton John Lee (Dana) Brison, of Chesterfield, MO; Pastor Billy Dale (Muriel) Brison, of Berger, MO; and Kenneth Mack (Sharon) Brison, of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Daja, Jasmine and Quincy Brison of Chesterfield, and Elizabeth, Katherine, Kenneth, II, William and Johnathan Brison, of St. Louis; brothers, John Brison, of Chicago, and Willie Brison, of Robertsville, MO; and sister, Lucille (Earven) Hulsey, of Robertsville.

Brother Brison was preceded in death by his parents, Welton and Fannie Brison; a brother, James Brison; and two sisters, Minnie Little and Orlie Middleton; and grandson, Travis Brison.

Brother Brison served at Good Hope Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO and was a proud member and retiree of the Laborers Local 110. Prior to that, he owned and operated Brison’s Disposal Service for 20 years while also being employed for 33 years as a machine operator at Silica Sand Corporation in Pacific, MO.

A religious man, Brother Brison loved serving the Lord, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, playing guitar, running heavy equipment and working on his farm. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. But what meant most to him was spending time with his family.

Funeral services were held June 8, 2019, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with interment at Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, MO Memorials may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church, 950 Ridge Ave., St. Clair, MO 63077.
