Iron Workers Local 396’s ‘Boy’s Day Out’ luncheon nets a sleigh full of toys for hospitalized children and needy families

UNION GIVING – Iron Workers Local 396 held it’s quarterly “Boy’s Day Out” luncheon Dec. 4 at the union hall, asking all attendees to bring in a new toy or donation to purchase a toy. The toy drive effort was led by Local 396 retirees Mike Penrod, Dave Hathcock and Dan Harty. Retirees donated a hefty amount of toys and collected $1,200 to purchase new toys. Brother Penrod and his helpers delivered the toys to Missouri Baptist Hospital and the Salvation Army to distribute to families and children who experiencing hardship or illness this holiday season.
