The line-up has been set for this year’s St. Louis Labor Council Labor Day parade. The parade will be held in downtown St. Louis on Sept. 2 with the theme “Union Strong.”

Groups will start forming at 7 a.m. on Olive Street between Jefferson and 15th streets.

The parade will step off at 9 a.m. led by St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson, St. Louis County Executive Sam Page, St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden and Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson, immediately followed by a horse-drawn trolley with performing members of the Musicians Association of St. Louis Local 2-197, then the United Way, clergy of the Faith/Labor Alliance and color guard and proceed east on Olive at 15th to Tucker Blvd., south on Tucker to Market Street, then west on Market to 15th.

John Ebeling, CWA 6300 Vice President Print and Media Sector, who is retiring this month after 44 years on the Labor Council Executive Board, will serve as Grand Marshal.
