The 2019 Labor/United Way Trap Shoot & BBQ, the major fundraising event for the annual Labor/United Way Campaign, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, April 26, at Winchester Trap and Skeet Facility, Route 140 and Powder Mill Road (600 Powder Mill Rd.) in East Alton, IL.

The annual event is supported by the Greater Madison County Federation of Labor, Greater St. Louis Labor Council, Southwestern Illinois Central Labor Council, St. Louis Building & Construction Trades Council and the Southwestern Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council.

Last year’s trap shoot raised $27,006 for United Way programs that serve metro area families.

The entry fee is $70 for two rounds of trap, plus the barbecue, which will be held after the shoot at the Machinists Hall, 161 North Shamrock in East Alton.

The Winchester Facility provides shotguns and ammo, although you may bring your own shotgun.

There are four sponsorship levels:

  • 10 Gauge Sponsor – $1,000 (includes two shooters)
  • 12 Gauge Sponsor – $500
  • 16 Gauge Sponsor – $250
  • 20 Gauge Sponsor – $125

Sponsors at each level will be displayed on signs at the range and barbecue. Sponsorship donations are tax-deductible.
