Belleville, IL – The Southwestern Illinois Central Labor Council Working Women’s Committee’s ninth annual fundraiser will benefit Make-a-Wish Illinois with proceeds from a 50-50 raffle to be drawn Dec. 19.
The theme is “Unions Make Wishes Come True.” Donations will also be accepted. Make-a-Wish Illinois was formed in 1985 as a non-profit group to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and so far it has assisted more than 10,000 children and is seeking to help 730 or more this year.
