Laborers Local 110’s Donald E. ‘Cotton’ Wilson

Donald E. “Cotton” Wilson, a member of Laborers Local 110, died Oct. 1, 2019, at his home In Desoto, Mo. He was 72.

Brother Wilson, a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Navy, was a 41-year member of Local 110 and had worked for the Jones Co.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Lou (Sutton) Wilson, of De Soto; three children: Lisa (Bob) Mira, of De Soto; Melissa Wilson, of De Soto; and Bryan Wilson, of Mineral Point, Mo.; four siblings: William K. (the late Jane) Pashia, of De Soto; Patricia (the late Melvin “Bob”) Courtois, of De Soto; Carolyn (Dennis Welch) Wilson, of Camdenton, Mo.; and Tammy Wilson, of De Soto; five grandchildren: Brittany (William), Emily (Matt), Christopher (Shelby), Michael and Bethany; and two great-grandchildren: Ryker and Bonnie, with another on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Myrtle Ruth (Vivrett) Wilson.

A memorial service was held on Oct. 14, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto.
