Laborers Local 42’s John Bundren retiring after 35 years with union, 23 as instructor at Laborers-AGC Training Center

Laborers Local 42 honored John Bundren, longtime member of the Local and instructor at the Laborers-AGC Training Center, on his retirement at Local 42’s monthly Union Meeting on March 27, 2019. Bundren is a 35-year member of the union, serving as Local 42’s auditor and as Training Center instructor for 23 years.

During his years as an instructor, Brother Bundren was the primary instructor for 4,471 students and provided an accumulated 184,445 hours of instruction.

“To say John will be missed is an understatement,” Local 42 President Rich McLaughlin said. “The positive impact he has made on his union brothers and sisters and the construction industry will be felt for years to come.”
