The Labor & Employment Relations Association (LERA) Gateway Chapter is hosting a lunch meeting and program on marijuana and the workplace on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

The event will be held at Maggie O’Brien’s at 2000 Market St. in St. Louis. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., and the program runs from noon to 1 p.m.

While marijuana remains a Schedule-1 drug at the federal level, its legal status continues to change and evolve at the state and local levels. Some states are approving the drug for medicinal use, while others are also allowing recreational use.

Karen Milner, of Lowenbaum Law, and Patrick Shinners, of Schuchat, Cook & Werner, will be guest speakers at the event and will address how the changes are creating new concerns in the workplace.

REGISTER FOR THE PROGRAM

The program is free for LERA patrons and co-sponsor members and $50 for LERA individual and non-members. RSVP for the event by Nov. 30 online at lera-gateway.org, by mail LERA, c/o Rudy Smith, 240 Millridge Dr., Moscow Mills, MO 63362 or by phone at 636-356-4320.
