Metro-East unions canvassing door-to-door in support of Amendment 1, the Workers’ Rights Amendment

Metro East unions are conducting a series of door-to-door canvasses in support of Amendment 1, the Workers’ Rights Amendment, which would ban so-called “right-to-work” in Illinois. Amendment 1 will be the first issue to appear on ballots throughout the state and aims to guarantee an employee’s right to unionize and bargain collectively.

The last canvass starts Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. at IAM Local 660, 161 N. Shamrock St. in East Alton.
