Licking, MO – Members of the Missouri Alliance for Retired Americans (ARA) recently delivered a truckload of food – canned goods, pastries, cake and bread – to the Licking Bridge Builders Senior Center, which feeds about 118 area residents each day.

The food was collected through a cooperative effort by Machinists District 9 and the Salvation Army in St. Charles.

It was the latest in a series of ARA food deliveries to the senior center in south-central Missouri.

The food deliveries show organized labor’s deep concern for all people — including senior citizens, said Dave Meinell, president of the Missouri Alliance for Retired Americans.

More participation and donations are needed. If you’d like to help, call 314-604-1316 for more information.
