Washington, D.C.—Union members, activists and organizers from across the country will gather in Washington, D.C., Jan. 13–16, at the annual 2023 AFL-CIO Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Civil and Human Rights Conference to chart the path forward for greater organizing, expanding civil and worker rights, and fighting back against extremist attacks on democracy in the workplace and our communities.

The theme of the conference is “Claiming Our Power, Protecting Our Democracy.” It will be held at the Washington Hilton. Proof of vaccination and masks will be required for entry.

Attendees will hear from a host of Labor leadership, Labor activists and workers at Starbucks and Amazon about organizing experiences, the Labor Movement’s resurgence and what’s next in their campaigns.
