St. Louis – As part of the bustle of activity at the 27th Biennial Missouri AFL-CIO Convention, State Federation President Mike Louis (left) administered the oath of office to the Missouri Alliance for Retired Americans’ newly elected officers. Founded in 2001, the nationwide Alliance has over 4.3 million members working to mobilize retired union members, seniors and community activists in advocating for a progressive political and social agenda that respects work and strengthens families. The officers of the Missouri chapter, elected by acclamation, are (starting second from left) Secretary Steve Quinlin (IAFF Local 42), Treasurer Ken Bougeno (UAW Local 136), President Dave Meinell (Machinists Lodge 777) and vice presidents Bill Finkle (Steelworkers), Art Johnson (AFGE), Chere Chaney (CLUW/CWA), Gary Style (UAW Region 5) and Bill Caldwell (Machinists District 142).
