New marijuana laws in Missouri and Illinois, which are causing anxiety for both management and labor, will be the topic of the next Labor Law Breakfast on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Attorneys Adam Doerr, of Jackson Lewis P.C., and James I. Singer, of Schuchat, Cook & Werner will be the guest speakers for the event, which will be conducted via Zoom from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. They will discuss how these new laws will impact the workforce and employment policies

The Labor Law Breakfast series, sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension St. Louis County, is held on the second Wednesday of each month. To ensure the safety of its participants amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the event has been moved online.

The cost is $10 per person and can be paid by check, online or by pre-arranged billing. Checks should be made payable to the St. Louis County Extension Council and mailed to University of Missouri Extension, 132 E. Monroe, St. Louis, MO 63122.
