North County Labor Club is hosting a lit-drop Saturday, Aug. 3, for St. Louis County Council candidate Kellie Dunaway to fill the Council seat left vacant when Sam Page took over as St. Louis County executive.
Dunaway, a Chesterfield Democrat, trains and coaches lawyers. She will face Republican Amy Poeker, a St. Ann alderwoman, in the Aug. 6 election.
Dunaway has been endorsed by the Greater St. Louis Labor Council.
Volunteers for the lit-drop should meet at 9 a.m. at 10120 St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann. With little publicity and a short turnaround for this election, it’s important to get the word out to elect a Labor-friendly voice to the County Council at the August special election.
“We’re trying to get as many people as possible out there,” said Fred Searcy (Plumbers & Pipefitters 562), president of the North County Labor Club.
“It’s just a lit-drop – no door knocking. You’ll probably be in and out there in an hour and a half.”
