Painters District Council 58 awards $2,000 scholarship

PAINTERS DISTRICT COUNCIL 58 recently awarded a $2,000 S. Frank “Bud” Raftery Scholarship to Audrey Buehler, (second from left) the daughter of Painters Local 115 member Joseph Buehler (left) and Julie Buehler. Presenting the scholarship award (at right) is Local 115 Business Agent Otto Schoenberg. The Raftery Scholarships are available to the sons, daughters and legal dependents of International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) members in good standing. Applicants must submit an essay of no less than 1,000 words on an essay topic selected by the IUPAT Scholarship Committee. The scholarships are contingent on the student attending a certified college, university, vocational tech/trade school or institute of higher learning within a year of receiving the award. – Painters DC 58 photo
