Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562 recently expanded its Health and Wellness Center, providing quality healthcare to members at an affordable cost.

Local 562 first began offering healthcare services to its members at its Spanish Lake location in the 1970s. Today’s Health and Wellness Center is located at Local 562’s new 40,000-square-foot headquarters in Earth City, along with Vision Center that offers eyecare services.

“When our Health and Wellness staff took on the challenge of designing a new medical facility, we would have never imagined what effect it would have on our members and their families,” said Local 562 Business Manager John O’Mara. “Tripling the size of our existing facility created the atmosphere our doctors and nursing staff were needing.

“The location of the facility has doubled the number of patients our staff sees. The enthusiasm from the members that have used the services has been overwhelming.”

QUALITY PREVENTATIVE AND ONGOING CARE
“The atmosphere may have changed but one thing hasn’t changed, and that is the special care that Local 562 members get from everyone on the Health and Wellness staff,” O’Mara said. “We have been blessed with such a great opportunity for our members and their families to get such great preventative and ongoing care throughout our careers and retirement.”

HUGE ‘THANK YOU’
“We want to extend a huge thank you to all those that helped create our new facility,” O’Mara said. “And we would also like to give a huge thank you to our Health and Wellness staff for making our lives better because of the unbelievable care we get daily.”
