St. Louis area workers engaged in the Fight for $15 joined workers from other cities for march, rally

Memphis, TN – Six busloads of St Louis area workers went to Memphis on Feb. 12, along with buses from eight other cities, marking the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Memphis sanitation workers strike. The day was organized nationally by the Fight for $15 campaign and the Poor People’s Campaign, with workers from Missouri’s Show Me $15 campaign and Service Employees International Union Local 1 participating in a rally supporting low-wage workers’ Fight for $15 movement and a march to Memphis City Hall.  – Philip Deitch photo
