Celebrate sisterhood with your fellow union tradeswomen during a social event planned for Saturday, Aug. 5 at the IBEW Local 1 union hall. Union sisters in all trades are invited to attend.
The event will run from 2 to 6 p.m. at the hall, which is located at 5850 Elizabeth Ave. in St. Louis. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite snacks, stories and photos. IBEW Local 1 is providing refreshments.
IBEW Local 1 electrician Stacey Bonuso is coordinating the event. Bonuso said several female electricians used to meet on a regular basis years ago, which gave her the idea for the gathering.
“The event is long overdue,” Bonuso said. “We need more togetherness, and as union sisters, we are already family members. I’m really looking forward to it.”
The event is strictly a social gathering, and there will be no guest speakers. Please share this with all of your union sisters regardless of their trade. Reservations are not required.
