Schnucks/Teamsters 688 contract to be voted on Monday

Teamsters Local 688 has announced it has reached a tentative agreement with Schnucks for their warehouse workers.

“We will vote on this agreement Monday afternoon,” said Mike Goebel, Local 688 principal officer. “The current boycott is still in effect until the contract is approved.”

If approved, the contract would protect the remaining warehouse workers for five years and guarantee their wages and benefits for that time. Also, the workers that were fired and covered by the ongoing grievance would receive a buyout settlement.

The boycott has been in effect since June 2016.
