Granite City – Three Illinois state representatives will host a Senior Fraud Prevention seminar at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Granite City Township Hall, 2060 Delmar Ave., Granite City.

Residents over 55 may join representatives Jay Hoffman (D-Swansea), Katie Stuart (D-Edwardsville) and Monica Bristow (D-Alton), along with a representative of Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul’ office.

“Many scammers specifically prey upon and take advantage of seniors, so it is important for our neighbors to be diligent in protecting themselves and their loved ones from identity thieves,” Hoffman said.

“I encourage local seniors to stop by to learn easy ways to protect themselves from identity fraud.”

The seminar is free and open to the public. An RSVP would be appreciated. Call (618) 416-7407 or email RepJayHoffman@gmail.com.
