Normandy, MO – Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART) Local 36 recently held it’s 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the St. Vincent Home for Children, raising $20,000 for the children’s treatment facility.
“Proceeds from this annual Tournament allowed us to present $20,000 to St. Vincent to help fund their objectives in 2015 – to enhance current residential brief-stay capabilities, expand home based services, and implement an out-patient Substance Abuse Treatment Program,” said Local 36 President and Business Manager David C. Zimmermann.
For the past several years, Local 36 has donated $20,000 to the home after each year’s tournament, whether that is what the event raised or not.
In the past 18 years, SMART Local 36 and its tournament sponsors have contributed over $250,000 to St. Vincent.
