Calling all current and former pinball wizards! The St. Louis City Legislative Labor Club is holding a pinball fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 26.
The event begins at noon at The Silver Ballroom at 4701 Morganford Road in St. Louis. The tournament is from 1 to 4 p.m. and includes snacks. Tournament prizes will include gift baskets from local union-friendly businesses.
Club Recording Secretary Aurora Bihler, of Iron Workers Local 396, came up with the idea for the unique event. She’s played on a women’s pinball league at the establishment for a year.
“I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I suggested it, but a lot of the older club members said they hadn’t played since high school,” she said.
The entry fee is $20 per person, and money raised will benefit the club’s Political Action Committee. To RSVP or for more information, visit the group’s Facebook event at facebook.com/events/289650331908113/.
