Teamsters Joint Council 13 has endorsed Doug Beck for Missouri Senate in the First District.

Beck, a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562, has been a force to be reckoned with as state representative in the 92nd District in Affton, fighting tirelessly for workers’ rights, Missouri families and public education. Beck’s campaign platform is “Working For The People.”

A more than 30-year member of Local 562, Beck and his wife, Marilyn, have two grown children, one grandchild and two more grandchildren on the way. He was raised in St. Louis County and graduated from Lindbergh High School.

Joint Council 13 President Marvin Kropp said the Joint Council Executive Board doesn’t give out endorsements easily but with Beck’s record with Labor and his vision for the state he was the right choice.

“With over 16,000 Teamsters in Joint Council 13, we look to have a positive influence in this election,” Kropp said.
