TintRite window tinting company has joined the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 58 as members and a signatory contractor.

A two-man operation, the company is owned and operated by Blake Lunsford and Adam Koch, who both come from union families. Koch is a former member of St. Louis-Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council and there are Carpenters union members in both their families.

TintRite performs automotive, commercial and residential window tinting.

“We do a lot of commercial tinting and a decent amount of it is union contractor work, so I figured it would help out all around,” Lunsford said of joining District Council 58.

TintRite installs smart films, which can be switched on and off, security film, safety film, solar film, decorative film and printed window films with layers and designs.

“They are the only one we know if in the Midwest that’s union,” District Council 58 Director of Organizing Rich Lucks said. “In addition to the automotive, they’ll be doing a lot of work with general contractors. It’s getting done a lot more in the building industry, but there’s not a lot of union contractors in the market.”

TintRite is located at 11134-C Lindbergh Business Ct., near Lindbergh Blvd. and Interstate 55 in south St. Louis County. They are holding a March sale to celebrate their new building. The phone number is 314-609-8468.
