To help workers in Ukraine

If you want to help workers and their families severely negatively impacted by the Ukraine crisis, here are organizations doing the work on the ground that could use our financial support.

• International Trade Union Confederation, formerly known as the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, represents 200 million workers in 163 countries and territories and has 332 national affiliates; its Ukrainian member organizations FPU and KVPU are providing support to families who desperately need assistance. Labor unions in neighboring countries, including Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova, are helping to support the increasing number of refugees. https://petitions.ituc-csi.org/support-ukraine.

• HIAS works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands, including ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities. It is now working through channels in the U.S. and throughout Europe to support the safe and speedy resettlement of those seeking to leave Ukraine. For more than 130 years, HIAS has been helping refugees rebuild their lives in safety and dignity. https://www.hias.org/

• International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, including the conflict in Ukraine and the crisis in Afghanistan; it workers to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and dignity to people devastated by conflict and disaster. The IRC quickly deployed to neighboring Poland, scaling up resources and mobilizing partners in both Poland and Ukraine to assist people who had to flee their homes. https://www.rescue.org/
