The Rev. Dr. Martin Rafanan was feted at a party recently at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company at 4465 Manchester Avenue in the The Grove neighborhood, celebrating his retirement from Missouri Jobs With Justice (MOJWJ), where he coordinated the Champions Program, fighting for higher wages and union rights for low-wage workers with the Show Me $15 effort, challenged politicians who support anti-worker legislation and stood with workers seeking justice in the workplace. Rev. Rafanan has also coordinated the St. Louis Faith/Labor Alliance (FLA), bringing faith and union leaders into a dynamic partnership to fight for a variety of issues that impact Missouri’s working families. You can make a donation to the MOJWJ Ballot Fund in Rev. Rafanan’s honor to help continue his hard work in the fight for social justice here. – Labor Tribune photo
