Port Council will honor four Labor leaders at annual golf outing Sept. 29

The St. Louis Port Council will hold its Sixth Annual Golf Outing on Sept. 29 and honor three Labor leaders and a respected Labor attorney with their special annual awards at the event’s dinner following a day of golf.

To be honorees are:

  • John Stiffler, executive secretary-treasurer of the St. Louis Building Trades Council, Port Council president, to receive the Dick Mantia Leadership Award.
  • Dan Duncan, Maritime Trades Department executive secretary-treasurer, with the Jack Martorelli Leadership Award.
  • Jerry FitzGerald, managing partner, O’Brien Law that specializes in asbestos related injuries, with the Able Helmsman Award. His father was a member of Insulators Local 1.
  • Ed Finkelstein, Labor Tribune publisher, with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The outing will be held at the Courses at Forest Park, 6141 Lagoon Drive. Individual dinner tickets are $75, a foursome is $750. Registration begins at 10 a.m., lunch at 11 with a noon Shotgun Start. There will be a 50/50 and prize raffle.

SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE
There are several levels of sponsorships:

  • Premier – $875 includes a foursome, hole sign, lunch and dinner for four.
  • Platinum – $1,250 includes foursome, 2 hole signs, logos on all signage, Lunch and dinner for six.
  • Diamond – $2,000 includes foursome four hole signs, logos on all signage, lunch and dinner for eight.
  • Hole sponsor – $200.
  • Beer cart sponsor – $700 includes signage on beer carts, dinner for four.

All artwork for sponsorships and hole signs should be submitted by Sept. 12 to gina@stlbctc.org.
