As the Missouri AFL-CIO and its affiliates prepare to begin circulating a Citizens Referendum petition to stop so-called “right-to-work” (for less) in Missouri, it’s important to note that you must sign the petition exactly as you are registered to vote.
Registered voters in Missouri should recently have received a postcard from their county clerk or local election authority notifying them of their polling place for the April 4 election.
- This card is addressed using your official REGISTERED voting name.
- Sign the upcoming Citizens Referendum Petition EXACTLY as you are registered.
- Sign only one petition. Signing more than once will result in ALL of your signatures being rejected.
- No notice? If you didn’t receive an election notice, you are NOT REGISTERED. Please register. If you’re not sure, register again. You can re-register as often as you like. Opportunities to register will be provided at upcoming union meetings, or you can do so online at sos.mo.gov/elections/goVoteMissouri/register.
ANY PETITION SIGNATURE NOT EXACTLY MATCHING YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED.
SAVE this notice coming in the mail from your local election authority.
