Steamfitters Local 439’s Night at the Grizzlies fundraiser helps young burn victims attend summer camp

Steamfitters Local 439’s annual Night at the Grizzlies fundraiser for the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s Burn Camp for Kids continues to be one of the most popular southern Illinois Labor events of the year.

A big crowd turned up for this year’s game on June 1 at GCS Ballpark in Swansea to see the Grizzlies vanquish the Washington (Pa.) Wild Things 9-3.

This marks the 16th year Local 439 has hosted the event, which includes a pork steak dinner before the game and has raised more than $400,000 to help young burn survivors attend a week at summer camp. – All Labor Tribune photos
