St. Louis Port Council honors Labor, business leaders

THE ST. LOUIS PORT COUNCIL honored Labor and business leaders at the Council’s Fourth Annual Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner Sept. 25 at the Courses at Forest Park. Celebrating their recognition were (from left) Dan Duncan, executive secretary-treasurer of the AFL-CIO Maritime Trades Department; Port Council President (and retired Operating Engineers 513 president) Jack Martorelli; Labor Man of the Year Mark Woolbright, 2nd District vice president, International Association of Fire Fighters; Management Man of the Year Robert Bray, president, TSI Global Companies; Able Helmsman Award Honoree Kim R. Besserman, executive director of the St. Louis County Fire Standards Committee (and retired member Fire Fighters Local 2665); Port Council Executive Secretary-Treasurer Bryan Powell; and Port Council Vice President and Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the St. Louis Building and Construction Trades Council John Stiffler.
